About NOLA Cat Lounge

At NOLA Cat Lounge, we believe in the simple magic that happens when people and cats come together. Rooted in the heart and spirit of New Orleans, our space is inspired by the city’s vibrant culture—its music, art, flavor, and deep sense of community.

NOLA Cat Lounge was created to be more than just a place to visit cats. It’s a cozy, welcoming environment where guests can slow down, unwind, and connect with our feline residents. At the same time, we are committed to supporting rescue efforts by helping cats find loving forever homes in a low-stress, comfortable setting.

Every detail of our lounge reflects a touch of New Orleans—from Mardi Gras colors and fleur-de-lis accents to playful nods to local traditions. It’s a space designed to feel both uniquely local and universally comforting, whether you’re a lifelong resident or just passing through.

Our mission is to create a one-of-a-kind community hub where compassion meets culture. By promoting adoption, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and offering a joyful place to gather, we aim to bring a little more connection, comfort, and cat-filled happiness to everyone who walks through our doors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own cat?

No, we don’t allow outside cats in the lounge. All of our resident cats are carefully selected and come through our rescue partners, where they are fully vetted and monitored. This helps keep all of the cats safe, healthy, and stress-free.

Do you take in strays or cats that need to be rehomed?

We don’t take in cats directly. All of our lounge cats come through our rescue partner, the Louisiana SPCA, where they receive full medical care and evaluation before joining us.

If you’ve found a stray or need to rehome a cat, we recommend contacting the Louisiana SPCA’s intake team at 504-368-5191 (extensions 423, 237, or 209). They can guide you through the next steps and make sure the cat gets the care it needs.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! We have a free parking lot on site.

About the Cats
